Anderson University to host Young Leaders’ Workshop

On Jan. 13, Anderson University will host the Anderson Young Leaders’ Workshop, with guest Mark Batterson, founding pastor of National Community Church, a multisite interdenominational church in Washington, D.C.

Batterson is also the author of several best-selling books, including “In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day,” “Wild Goose Chase” and “Primal.”

Batterson will speak at 10 a.m. at campus worship in Henderson Auditorium and will hold a question-and-answer session at 11:30 a.m. in the Thrift Library. Lunch will be served in the library, and the event will conclude with remarks from Fred Stone, president of the South Carolina Baptist Convention.

The fee to attend the event is $20, which includes lunch and a copy of Batterson’s book, “Primal.”
