
The youth at Kelleytown Baptist Church, Hartsville, recently traveled to Winterplace Ski Resort in West Virginia for their winter retreat. This year’s theme was “Feeling the Chill,” taken from Psalm 2:11, and focused on worship. The news of one salvation was the “high for the weekend,” said pastor Daniel Henderson.

Ridge Spring Baptist Church, Ridge Association, recently teamed up with Ridge Hill Baptist Church to construct a ramp for Ketrick Hickson, a 13-year-old from Ridge Spring who has endured multiple surgeries and challenges. Once town employee and Ridge Spring member Max Parrish brought the need to the attention of the congregation, fellow member Brian Derrick coordinated the outreach project and construction. The 20-foot ramp will assist Ketrick and his mother, Indiee Hickson, in his transport to and from school. Pictured are some of the 10-member construction team: C.B. The Girls in Action of First Baptist Church, Springfield, collected $296 for a local charity as part of the Souper Bowl of Caring on Feb. 7. Pictured are some of the girls who collected donations. Geer Memorial Baptist Church, Easley, recognized Harold Porter on Jan. 31 for 37 years of service in the church’s bus/van ministry.

Audria Tolson was honored for serving 30 years as Woman’s Missionary Union director at New Providence Baptist Church, Hartsville. She was presented a plaque and a cake at a church luncheon held in her honor. Pictured also is her pastor, Cliff Leonard, who was ordained by the church in 2009. Leonard’s father, Rufus Leonard, a pastor in Chesterfield Association, preached the ordination sermon.

Dalton has recently been appointed as Northwest Area Ministry Coordinator for Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) of Greater Houston.
