I agree with “Oppression from the pews” (Jan. 21). All the churches seem to want another Billy Graham to solve their problems. What they really need to do is look in the congregation and find out where the devil is sitting and throw him out. No wonder many leave the ministry after five years. The “pew theologians” know all the answers. Personally, I would rather they leave because the pastor was preaching the Word than stay because he was holding a “Dr. Phil” session.
