The annual Coastal Evangelism Conference, sponsored by churches in the coastal area of the state and hosted by Langston Baptist Church in Conway, is set for Aug. 4-6.
Don Purvis, transitional pastor at Langston Baptist Church, has announced a lineup of speakers that includes South Carolina native Mac Brunson, senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Fla.
Also scheduled to speak are Bobby Welch, strategist for Global Evangelical Relations, Nashville, Tenn.; Junior Hill, evangelist, Junior Hill Ministries, Hartselle, Ala.; Sam Cathey, evangelist, Morningside Ministries, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Daniel Lovett, president, Tennessee Temple University, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Bob Pitman, Bob Pitman Ministries, Muscle Shoals, Ala.; Robert Smith Jr., associate professor of divinity, Beeson Divinity School, Birmingham, Ala.; Herb Reavis Sr., pastor, North Jacksonville Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Fla.; Phil Hoskins Sr., pastor, Higher Ground Baptist Church, Kingsport, Tenn.; and Rick Coram, evangelist, Rick Coram Ministries, Jacksonville, Fla.
Special music under the direction of Sonny Clardy, a vocational evangelist and music minister from Socastee, will include congregational singing, selections by the Coastal Evangelism Choir, the Mike Speck Trio and The Whisnants.
There is no cost for attending the conference. Meals may be purchased for lunch and dinner on Thursday and Friday.
