Connie Maxwell Children’s Home celebrated its 34th biennial alumni reunion recently on the main campus in Greenwood, where 600 alumni and family members shared stories that brought laughter and tears. It began with the early bird gathering on the farm on Friday and finished with lunch after Sunday morning worship. “I had a great weekend seeing everyone,” said alumna Pearl Davenport Lafoy. “Thanks to all of the Connie Maxwell staff, alumni board, and students for all they have done.” Pictured above are CMCH children and staff as they celebrate in worship on Sunday morning during reunion weekend at Connie Maxwell Baptist Church. Also pictured is a scene from the early bird gathering. Jack Taylor, husband to alumna Leslie Taylor who will serve as alumni president, prepared the evening’s pig pickin’.
