I believe our Southern Baptist Convention and our church members are confused. We are putting too much emphasis on worldly views of money, success, the economy and limiting our God. We understand God’s direction giving us the Great Commission; however, as history reveals, human beings put too much importance on our roles.
We are the vessels to deliver the seeds. God is our creator and sustainer. We are to petition him. Our leaders and all Christians must humble ourselves, get on our knees, repent and worship God. He will accomplish his work through us. He will provide everything we need.
We have become useless for God’s work. We must change our priorities. We must put God first and be transformed by God’s spirit. God, through us, is the answer.
Praise God, and know all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us. In John 15:5, Jesus said, “I am the vine, and you are the branches. If any remain in me and I remain in them, they produce much fruit. But without me they can do nothing.”
