Campbell Eugene Carroll, 87, of Norwood, N.C., who served as a Baptist minister for more than 50 years, died Sept. 13, 2010.
Born March 13, 1923, in Gastonia, N.C., he graduated from Wingate College, Furman University and Wake Forest Seminary. He served Winnsboro Baptist Church in South Carolina, as well as several churches in North Carolina.
He was a counselor in the Columbia area for many years. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Johnson Carroll.
Survivors include a daughter, a grandson and two great-grandsons.
