JacksonAlvin Jackson is the new director of missions for Carolina Baptist Association, which serves churches primarily in southern Horry County. He began duties in May.
Jackson is the former pastor of Dogwood Hill Baptist Church and Cane Branch Baptist Church, both in Carolina Association.
He led the association on its first mission trip in 1994 to Haverhill, Mass., and the association has been active in mission trips ever since. Jackson also has traveled on foreign mission trips and is active in local missions work.
He has served in several positions for Carolina Association: mission development director, moderator, vice moderator, and new work committee chairman. He has also served in several positions in the South Carolina Baptist Convention.
He and his wife Judy have three children. They reside in Loris.
