Anderson University will host a Young Leaders Network event featuring popular Christian author and speaker Calvin Miller from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 27.

Pastors and other ministry leaders will attend a time of worship with Anderson students where Miller will speak. Afterwards, leaders will participate in a Q&A session with Miller followed by a special luncheon.

“We want to build a relationship with these young church and ministry leaders in the Upstate, and we want to pour into them and learn with them,” said Bob Cline, AU’s vice president for Christian life.

Admission for the event is $10, which includes lunch. Each participant will receive a copy of Miller’s newest book, “Life is Mostly Edges.”

Miller is the author of more than 40 books of popular theology and inspiration. He served as a pastor for more than 30 years and then taught at Southwestern Seminary. He is professor of preaching and pastoral ministry at Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School.
