Kade Oneal Stokes, 42, of Piedmont, husband of Baptist Courier contributing writer Laura Stokes, died Oct. 23, 2010, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in 1968 in Dothan, Ala., he graduated from Greenville Technical College with an associate degree in criminal justice and was general manager and vice president of Mr. Mattress Inc.
Stokes was a charter member of Marathon Community Church in Easley, where he served with the Compassion team.
He was a member of the Harley Owners Group for 12 years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Jacob Thomas Stokes and Joshua Abraham Stokes, and his mother.
