SCBC resolutions address wide range of issues

South Carolina Baptist Convention messengers on Tuesday adopted a slate of resolutions addressing issues ranging from homosexuality and religious liberty to encouraging Baptists to become involved in prison ministry.

Without discussion, messengers adopted eight resolutions:

– Appreciation to SCBC officers and staff

– Centennial anniversary of Anderson University

– Volunteering in S.C. prisons

– Prayer and encouragement for elected officials

– Theft of copper and other metals

– Financial responsibility

– Impact of gambling in S.C.

– Homosexuality and religious liberty
