KENNY OWEN was called as pastor of First Baptist Church, Westminster, on Feb. 6, after serving as interim pastor since last November. Prior to that, he served as pastor at Earle’s Grove Baptist Church, Westminster, for 27 years, and has been active in state and local missions work, as well as revivals in several states.
Mike BeLueMIKE BELUE, a retired U.S. Army chaplain colonel, has been called as transitional pastor to Langston Baptist Church, Conway. BeLue, a native of Union, is a graduate of Southern Wesleyan College, Erskine Seminary and The Army War College, Pa. He is certified in clinical pastoral education and transitional pastoral ministry. BeLue enlisted in the Army in 1965 and served two combat tours in Vietnam as an airborne infantry soldier. He became a chaplain in 1985 and retired in 2009. He and his wife Elaine have been members at Langston since 2009. They have two adult sons.
RALPH WARREN retired as pastor of Edgewood Baptist Church, Walterboro, on Dec. 31, 2010. He formerly served as pastor at Edisto Beach Baptist Church and Perry’s Chapel in Franklinton, N.C. During his years of ministry, he served on the Nominations Committee of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and as moderator of Colleton Baptist Association. Warren also served with the International Mission Board as pastor of the International Baptist Church in Mons, Belgium, and on the budget and finance committee of the European Baptist Convention. In addition, he taught at Emanuel Baptist University in Oradea, Romania.
Shannon FaulknerSHANNON FAULKNER was recently called as pastor of Fairview Baptist Church, Kinards. He previously served as pastor of South Spartanburg Baptist Church, Pauline, and Broad River Baptist Church, Smyrna. He also served as moderator of York Baptist Association and founded Homeland Harvest Crusade. A 2006 graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute, he is currently pursuing a bachelor of theology degree from Covington Theological Seminary. Faulkner and his wife, Paula, are the parents of three children: Michael, Meranda and E.J.
