Mack’s service valuable

The Baptist Courier

Baptists of South Carolina owe Joe Mack, who served as director of public policy of the South Carolina Baptist Convention for the past 12 years, a debt of gratitude for the excellent service he provided our denomination as well as the citizens of South Carolina.

Joe’s dedication to his tasks, his Christian spirit, and his integrity earned him the respect of members of the General Assembly on both sides of the aisle. He was a leader in helping defeat some legislation that would have had devastating effects on our state. Joe became the voice of South Carolina Baptists in the State House, and he was often sought out to explain the position of South Carolina Baptists on key moral issues.

His departure leaves us without a voice in the State House at a critical time in the legislative process.
