Charles “Buddy” Freeman

CHARLES “BUDDY” FREEMAN of Conover, N.C., recently returned to the administration of North Greenville University. Previously, Freeman served as vice president for admissions, but will now work in the office of university advancement in the role of director for the Christian Ministry Scholarship Fund. Freeman organized and directed the fund when he came to North Greenville in 1997 and continued until his retirement in 2007. The fund was chartered with 85 members to build a scholarship endowment to benefit needy and deserving students whom God has called to the pulpit, mission field, youth and music ministries, and Christian education. The fund has grown to more than $2 million and currently assists 54 students. Freeman’s role as director will be to raise $2 million for the endowment over the next five years as part of the $25-million GIFT (“Give It Forward To”) God campaign.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jesse Adams

JESSE ADAMS has been called as senior pastor of Pleasant Dale Church, Lancaster. He had previously served at Pleasant Dale, which is also his home church, as associate pastor/minister of youth and children since 2000. Adams earned a master of theology degree from Carolina Bible College. He and his wife Amanda are parents of a daughter, Carley Grace.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hampton Lee Drum

HAMPTON LEE DRUM was recently called as senior pastor of Langston Church, Conway. He previously served as senior pastor of South River Church, Statesville, N.C., for the past 23 years. He completed his formal education at Fruitland Bible Institute, Wingate University and Southeastern Seminary. In addition, he has held several positions in North Carolina at both the associational and state level, and has served on several Southern Baptist Convention committees. He and his wife Janice, both of Robbinsville N.C., are parents of two sons, Westley and Ethan. The church will hold his installation service on May 8.
