We see more false teaching springing up, even by way of people going door to door. We should not shut these people out, but instead love them and hear what they have to say – and then ask if we may share something with them. We could be the last chance that person has to hear the truth revealed to them.
Christ died for all people. When someone asked Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?” Jesus’ reply was the parable of the Good Samaritan. All are our brothers, and by loving our brother, we glorify God.
When they come to your home to spread untruth, I urge you to pray with them that the Lord will come and direct the conversation, and then you should love them and offer them the truth and be prepared to rightly handle the word of God. This means getting involved with church and small groups in apologetics and understanding the worldview through a Christian’s perspective.
Is this all really necessary? Let me close with Ezekiel 33:8: “When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man will surely die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require from your hand.”
