Wade Hampton Hale, 95, of Greenville, a retired religion instructor and BSU director, died Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011.
HaleBorn in Anderson County, he was a graduate of Mars Hill College and Furman University and received his D.Min. degree from Southern Seminary.
He retired from North Greenville College, now North Greenville University, after 35 years of service as an instructor in the religion department. He also served as Baptist Student Union director for 25 years and was interim pastor in many churches in the Upstate. He was a member of Rocky Creek Church.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Elizabeth Rochester Hale, two daughters, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
