
A group from White Plains Baptist Church, Gaffney, joined a team from several churches in Broad River Association to do mission work in South Africa. Holston Creek Baptist Church, Inman, will host its 10th annual “Bethlehem Walk” nightly Dec. 9-11. It is an outdoor dramatic re-creation of first-century Bethlehem on the night Jesus was born. The 30- minute walk-through production, written by pastor Reggie Parker, involves a cast of 150 actors. “Bethlehem Walk” is free to the public.

North Greenville University’s choir, Joyful Sound, performed at Barker’s Creek Baptist Church, Honea Path, on Nov. 6, spending the entire weekend with church families as a part of Barker’s Creek youth retreat and attending a luncheon following the morning worship service. Since holding Vacation Bible School this summer, Bold Spring Baptist Church in Lakelands Association has experienced growth in youth participation in several departments: Sunday school, GAs, RAs, Acteens and Discipleship Training. As a result, 13 youth made professions of faith during the month of October. On Oct. 30, nine of the 13 (pictured here) were baptized, and the others will baptized this month.

Rock Springs Baptist Church, Easley, recently presented the drama, “Death’s Door,” which resulted in more than 400 decisions for Christ.

The Multi-Focus Women on Mission group at Mountain Rest Baptist Church, Beaverdam Association, hosted the international students from Clemson University for lunch on July 4. The group included students from China, India, Japan and Romania.

Robert Huffman (right) was installed as pastor of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, in Edgefield Association, on Oct. 16. He previously served as pastor of two other churches in Edgefield Association, and was chairman of the Edgefield director of missions search committee. He and his wife Trish have one son, Joshua. The Joyful Servants Sunday school class at Cowpens First Baptist Church has been busy this year using their gifts and talents to serve others: They made more than 100 pillowcases and crocheted 50 hats for the residents of Miracle Hill Ministries.
