F. Leon Johnson, 86, of Greenville, a retired minister and director of missions, died Dec. 29, 2011.
JohnsonBorn in Lee County, he was a Baptist minister in South Carolina and Mississippi and was retired director of missions for the North Greenville Association. He was a charter member of the Minister’s Scholarship Fund at North Greenville University, where he was a past trustee.
He was a member of Berea First Baptist Church and taught a men’s Sunday school class.
He was the husband of Louise Flowers Johnson. Survivors include two daughters, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter.
