North Greenville University names Cashion missions and evangelism professor

Bill Cashion has been appointed professor of missions and evangelism at North Greenville University’s Graduate School of Christian Ministry.

Cashion served almost 20 years with the International Mission Board as a missionary in Venezuela and as missions administrator.

He also served 20 years as a pastor, most recently completing seven years as pastor at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville, Ga. He taught six years at Truett-McConnell College as visiting professor of missions and taught as a visiting professor at seven Baptist seminaries. He holds a master of divinity degree from Southeastern Seminary and a doctor of ministry degree in missiology from Mid-America Seminary.

He has had articles published in religious journals and has been interviewed for stories by national religious news media.

Cashion will teach courses in missions and evangelism. He also will lead church-planting mission teams to Venezuela, with the first trip scheduled for July 20-28.
