Kadarron Anderson

Furman University football standout Kadarron Anderson, who grew up at Connie Maxwell Children’s Home in Greenwood, recently signed a contract with the NFL’s New Orleans Saints. Anderson went to Connie Maxwell at 8 and lived there until he graduated from Emerald High School. He was a three-year starter at Furman and was named All-American, All-Southern Conference, and, in 2010, was a Palmetto Patriot Award winner. Anderson attributes much of his success to the encouragement he received at Connie Maxwell. He has visited the campus and spoken to children on numerous occasions and shared his faith. Upon receiving a call from the Saints, he said he was “very thankful to God” for the opportunity.
