Greer Baptist Association has called Tom Capps to serve as director of missions, effective April 1.

Capps previously served as missions mobilization consultant for the association since March 2007 and as associate pastor of Victor Baptist Church in Greer.
Prior to coming to the association, he was associate pastor of Northgate Baptist Church, Greenville, and minister of youth at First Baptist Church, Lancaster. He previously served on four church staffs in North Carolina from 1974-1989.
Capps also works on special assignments with the South Carolina Baptist Convention in leadership development with Sunday school, senior adults, multihousing ministry and school ministry partnerships.
He and his wife, Crystal, have two children and one grandson.
David Moore was called to serve as missions mobilization consultant for the association. He served in this position from 2002-2006 and served as pastor of Sonrise Baptist Church in Spartanburg from 1992 until his retirement at the end of March. Moore and his wife, Florence, have two daughters and one granddaughter.
