New book tells Connie Maxwell’s stories

Former Connie Maxwell Children’s Home student Gene Bishop and CM’s director of church development, Tony Atkinson, have published a book, “Someone Held My Hand,” a compilation of memories from former Connie Maxwell students and past and present staff members.

From stories of triumph over fear and loss, to humorous tales of childhood escapades, “Someone Held My Hand” illustrates the love the storytellers have for the place they call home.

Connie Maxwell trustee Bryant Sims said, “I want to thank Gene and Tony. I could not put this book down. It is a great collection of God stories. I also believe these stories will make me a better ambassador for our children’s home.”
