James Lerlin Dow, 70, of Pickens, died May 16, 2012.
Born in Greenwood, he was a graduate of North Greenville University, William Carey University and Southeastern Seminary.
He pastored churches in South Carolina and North Carolina for 42 years. His pastorates in South Carolina included Ebenezer-Welcome Baptist Church in Landrum; Branchville Baptist Church, Branchville; Secona Baptist Church in Pickens; and Pebble Creek Baptist Church in Taylors.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Jane Alexander Dow; three sons and five grandchildren.
