West Side Baptist Church, Chester, will celebrate 100 years of life and ministry on Oct. 7. A special worship service, “Celebrating Our Past, Planning Our Future,” will begin at 10:30 a.m. Former pastor Charlie Simmons will recall the pivotal moments of the church’s past, and Curtis Daniel, also a former pastor, will address the future.
