Teamwork was the theme of the Baptist Foundation of South Carolina’s annual Partners in Ministry dinner at White Oak Conference Center Aug. 28.

“It takes teamwork, all of us working together, to advance the kingdom of God,” Foundation president Barry Edwards told the 112 people in attendance. “We partner with individuals, churches, associations and institutions to promote legacy giving so that all may experience the joy of Christian generosity.”
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the foundation’s annual Legacy Award to Alvin Bozard of Columbia, a retired pastor and convention employee. Bozard has been a “friend of the Foundation” for many years and has entrusted the foundation to assist him with his personal estate planning, which will provide for his family and ultimately for missions and scholarships.
The event featured music by One Accord, a barbershop quartet consisting of four Spartanburg-area ministers of music: Chris Hale, Butch King, David Satterwhite and Steve Skinner. Jimmy Epting, president of North Greenville University, was the keynote speaker and shared how teamwork is God’s design for continuing to bring “one more” into the kingdom. – SCBC
