PHILLIP LATTA is retiring from the pastorate of First Baptist Church, Hemingway, at the end of October after more than 35 years in the ministry. Latta has served as pastor of churches in North and South Carolina. He previously was on the South Carolina Baptist Convention Executive Board, Nominations Committee and Committee on Committees, and is currently a trustee of the South Carolina Baptist Ministries for the Aging. After retirement, he plans to move to Lexington, where he will be available for supply and interim work.
