Fork Baptist Church, Pee Dee Association, had a high attendance of 73 and an average attendance of 46 for its “Sonrise National Park” Vacation Bible School this summer.

 

Spring Branch Baptist Church, Chesterfield Association, honored pastor Luther “Buddy” Amerson (center) and his wife Betty on July 29 for their 35 years of service. Richard Gardner, of Good Samaritan Colony, a substance abuse treatment center located in Ruby, S.C., was guest speaker for the event. Presenting a plaque of appreciation to the Amersons is Harald Winburn.

 

Flat Rock Baptist Church, Liberty, honored two members on Sept. 16 for 60 years of service: Wanda Norton (first picture), who has served in the nursery; and Mary Lee Finley (second picture), who has served as church pianist. Presenting plaques of appreciation to Norton and Finley is pastor Jamey Collins.

 

Apalache Baptist Church, Greer, held two special events this summer: Ricci Allen (first photo, center) was licensed to the ministry on July 29, and is shown with his wife, Deniece, as he receives his certificate of license from pastor Eddie Cooper. Blake Mullinax (second photo, center) is pictured with his wife, Jennifer, receiving his deacon ordination certificate on Aug. 26 from pastor Cooper.
