
Influential youth and college evangelist Clayton King received an honorary doctor of humanities degree from Anderson University during winter commencement ceremonies Dec. 14.
King, founder of Crossroads Worldwide and Clayton King Ministries, is the teaching pastor at NewSpring Church, a multi-campus church based in Anderson and birthed on the campus of Anderson University. He is also campus pastor at Liberty University in Virginia.
“Through the years, Clayton King has touched our campus through his preaching, teaching, and friendship,” said Evans Whitaker, Anderson University president. “He has led students to Christ, helped them grow in their discipleship, and he has ministered to heavy hearts during times of loss of faculty members and students.”
King has spoken to more than 3 million people since 1987 and has traveled to 31 countries and 45 states. – AU
