Clayton King to lead life-balance event for pastors

The Baptist Courier

Unrelenting time demands, the emotional impact of tragedies in a congregation, and the need to prepare engaging and transformative sermons weekly – these are just a few of the pressures that mount on a pastor and can bring on stress that few other vocations can match.

Clayton King

Anderson University will host a luncheon with Clayton King Feb. 27 designed to bring insights into the balance of life and work.

In “Learning to Look, Finding Peace by Refining Your Focus,” King will share personal stories and lessons learned in managing a burgeoning evangelistic ministry while meeting his responsibilities as a Christian, father and husband.

The luncheon will take place from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Vandiver Gallery of the Rainey Fine Arts Center on the Anderson University campus. Registration will be $10, which includes lunch and a copy of King’s book, “Dying to Live.”

Attendees are also invited to attend campus worship at 10:10 a.m. in Henderson Auditorium, which will feature King’s message to AU students along with student-led praise and worship.

Online registration is available at andersonuniversity.edu/yln.
