The senior adults of Asaville Baptist Church, Due West, have raised more than $7,000 for the church’s building fund. When deciding on a mission project for the church several years ago, the group was asked by pastor Harold Walters if any of them were quilters – and soon several ladies had accepted the challenge. More than 70 quilts have been made since that time, and the funds have been used to help pay off the church social hall and to help pave the church parking lot.
