South Carolina Baptists are planting a lot of new churches these days. My observation is that many of these new churches do not have “Baptist” in their name. And then we wonder why Cooperative Program giving is down. Our new churches contribute little or nothing to Baptist causes. Some of these churches, now several years old and with memberships in the hundreds, still contribute nothing to the Cooperative Program.
