Although I agree with [Frank] Page’s statements about mercy and love, we are not lawmakers (“Southern Baptist CEO speaks out on immigration reform,” April 25). Our job is to make disciples.
For all of those illegal immigrants, shouldn’t we share the gospel with them … hope to lead them to Christ … let them carry the gospel with them wherever they go? If they are deported to Mexico, don’t you think there is a need for the gospel in Mexico? Isn’t that what we should be doing instead of standing on political platforms? What about our biblical platforms?
