Ed Griggs
Ed Griggs, 82, a long-serving pastor in Chesterfield Baptist Association, died Jan. 9, 2014.
A Patrick, S.C., native and a graduate of Furman University, he was pastor of Middendorf Baptist Church for 27 years and at other Baptist churches in Chesterfield and Williamsburg associations. He also had served as moderator of Chesterfield Association and twice as interim director of missions for Chesterfield Association. He was previously employed for 23 years at J.L. Coker & Co. and B.C. Moore & Sons and was currently employed at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Reynolds Griggs of Lamar.
