Randy Vincent named acting director for Camp McCall

Randy Vincent has been named acting director of McCall Royal Ambassador Camp, succeeding Eddie Pettit, who resigned recently to become pastor of Evergreen Baptist Church, Effingham.

Vincent has served Camp McCall as assistant director for the last seven years and was a staffer at the camp while in college.

He will manage staff and offseason camp programs, according to an announcement on the South Carolina Baptist Convention website. “His expanded role will ensure that Camp McCall maintains its reputation as a leading camp and achieves its mission through customer service, facility management, staff training, and program quality,” the announcement stated.

The SCBC Executive Board “will review recommendations regarding Camp McCall and what leadership will be needed to build on the strengths of the past and be relevant for the future during this transition period,” according to the announcement.

Vincent earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Clemson University and a master of arts in teaching degree from Converse College. He is a member of the American Camp Association and is a standards accreditation visitor for the ACA Southeast section.
