Jack W. Hester, associate pastor and staff evangelist at City View First Baptist Church in Greenville, will hold a tent crusade in the Conestee community near Mauldin beginning April 27 at 2:30 p.m.

The location of the tent marks the spot where Hester played baseball for the textile mill league as a young man more than 60 years ago. He is calling the upcoming event the “Conestee Coming Home Crusade.”

“Most of my buddies and friends have already gone,” said Hester. “My heart’s desire is to reach my remaining friends for Christ in this crusade.”

Hester has pastored four churches during his 55 years in ministry, directed a daily radio ministry and authored four books.
