Areawide apologetics conference coming to Spartanburg

A “Truth for a New Generation” conference will be held Sept. 5-6 at First Baptist Church, Spartanburg. The theme for this year’s conference is “Life and Liberty: Given by God.”

The event is sponsored by North Greenville University in association with several other partners. It is organized by Alex McFarland, director of Christian worldview and apologetics at NGU.

“Because more belief systems than ever are competing for the attention of people, I believe that it is vital for churches to incorporate apologetics and worldview content into their ministries,” said McFarland. “It is imperative that young people be taught to defend their faith, and be equipped to defend the reality that, from the beginning, God has been a part of America.”

Speakers include Ben Carson, M.D.; Eric Metaxas; Josh and Sean McDowell; David Barton; Joni Eareckson Tada; Tim Wildmon; and David Nasser. Music will be led by Charles Billingsley.

To register, visit www.truthforanewgeneration.com or call 888-705-0980. Seating is limited to 2,100, and discounted prices are available until June 6.
