Anderson County churches unite for evangelism rally

A group of cooperating churches in Anderson County has scheduled a countywide evangelism rally at Anderson University on March 2.

Frank Page, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee, will preach at the 7 p.m. service, which will be held in the school’s Henderson Auditorium. Music will be led by Joe Hopkins, dean of the fine arts department at Samford University.

“This rally is a renewed challenge to the churches of Anderson County to reach lost people with the gospel,” said Wayne Dickard, pastor of Siloam Baptist Church in Easley, who will moderate the event. “We hope each participant will renew his or her personal effort to share Jesus and bring someone to Christ.”

Dickard said all Anderson County churches are encouraged to be a part of the evangelism rally.
