Robert Duane Jeske, 79, of Kershaw, died Jan. 16, 2015.

Born in Lind, Wash., he was educated at Central Washington University, Western Washington University, the University of Chicago, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He pastored the following Baptist churches in Kershaw: Flat Creek, New Haven and Haile Gold Mine. He also was a supply preacher at numerous churches in Lancaster County and taught at the University of South Carolina-Lancaster, York Technical College, Kershaw-Heath Springs Extension and Carolina Christian Academy.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Winegar Jeske, three children, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
