Former SCBC president and longtime pastor Wayne Dickard retires

Wayne Dickard, former South Carolina Baptist Convention president and pastor of Siloam Baptist Church in Easley, retired from the pastorate March 15, completing three decades in ministry. He plans to hold evangelism rallies, Sunday school conferences, and revival meetings in the future. On March 1, he organized an evangelism rally at Anderson University, which drew about two dozen churches along with a number of students. Frank Page, president of the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee, was the keynote speaker. Dickard and his wife, Anita, will reside in Powdersville.
