Jason McLeod is the new associate pastor and minister of students at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church in Laurens. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and religion from Liberty University. McLeod, a former member of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Ga., played the role of high school football team captain Brock Kelley in the movie, “Facing the Giants.” He also participated in Sherwood Pictures’ third feature film, “Fireproof,” in which he took on the role of rookie fireman Eric Harmon. McLeod and his wife, Meagan, who is from Spartanburg, have two young children, Brooks and Ellie Grace.
