Letter: Baptists should care about radical ‘holy war’

Thank you very much for your article on the Islamic State (April 2015). Based on what I have seen and heard from fellow Baptists, I had come to think that this topic should be avoided in our discussions at church, so I appreciate your comments on radical Islam and its goal to eliminate Christians like you and me. Many Baptists do not know what is going on, and many don’t care what is going on.

I pray that we can get this terrorist movement stopped and save the lives of Christians who believe like we do. They do not deserve to die, just like all Muslims don’t deserve to die in this holy war, but the death of Christians will not stop until the terrorists are stopped. I know God has a plan. He always has a plan. I know He has helped the good people in the past and He has helped the bad people in the past, but He expected the good people to follow His orders and participate.
