Pastor, where do you find encouragement?

In a world where the majority of churches across the Southern Baptist Convention are plateaued or declining, where even faithful church members’ attendance is spotty, where congregations bog down in debates about things that don’t matter (like the carpet color for the fellowship hall), and where a Facebook/Instagram/Pinterest/ESPN culture often trumps mission, it is easy for today’s pastor to become discouraged.

If you are a Southern Baptist pastor in South Carolina, we want to hear from you. Feel free to tell us what discourages you, and tell us where you find encouragement. Do you have a close friend in the ministry? A “Band of Brothers” where you a free to be honest with your thoughts? A trusted church member or family member? Is there a program or book that is helpful to you?

If so, please tell us about it. We may use your comments in an upcoming story on this subject. Please include your name, where you serve, and your daytime contact information. You can send your reply to CourierNews@baptistcourier.com, or you may use the form below. Please respond no later than May 11.
