Longtime Bible class teacher authors commentary: ‘The Journey’

Marvin Anderson, a retired dentist and longtime Bible class teacher, has released a new book, “The Journey,” a commentary addressing the entire scope of the Bible.

Published by WestBow Press, Anderson’s book was developed as a result of his teaching a seven-year walk-through-the-Bible class at Burnsview Baptist Church in Greer, S.C.

The book traces the progression of God’s plan for man as one reads through the Bible.

“I noticed that people don’t understand the Old Testament and seem unable to see relevance in the Old Testament text and their relationship with God,” said Anderson. “ ‘The Journey’ explains how each book of the Bible is relevant to a person’s relationship with God and how the Old Testament relates to the New Testament.”

Anderson said the book is “easy reading” and engages the reader in a non-academic setting while learning God’s word.

Anderson, now retired, practiced dentistry for 30 years. He has written for LifeWay Christian Resources and has authored devotionals.

“The Journey” is available at major online book providers.
