George Edward Lowe Sr., 68, of Myrtle Beach, died June 18, 2015.

Lowe was pastor of University Baptist Church in Conway. He previously served as pastor of Bear Swamp Baptist Church in Lake View and Sharon Baptist Church in Longs. Before pastoring in South Carolina, he served churches in various ministry positions in West Virginia, his native state.

He attended Beckley College and Piedmont Bible College and was ordained to the ministry in 1978.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Brierley Lowe, three children, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
