Pastor to Pastor: Preach the Logos

The theme of the 2015 South Carolina Baptist Pastors’ Conference is “Preach the Logos.” In Christian theology, the noun logos refers to Jesus our Lord — the Divine Word, the second person of the Trinity incarnate. Logos, in Scripture, has long been the designation for “the Word of God.” Preachers are instructed to “preach the logos,” to “be ready in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2-3).

In keeping with our theme and to further help South Carolina pastors “preach the Word,” I am thrilled to announce a generous offer that completely complements the 2015 theme. I want to give away two Logos Bible software packages during our Pastors’ Conference. The terms are really simple: Register now for a great time of networking and fellowship and be entered for a pre-event drawing for a Logos 6 Bronze Resource Package. With this software you can “uncover cultural concepts in the Bible, study Scripture in context, see thousands of images of the Holy Land, pinpoint key events with Timeline [and] dig into the Word with key critical and exegetical commentaries. By utilizing Logos, precious time is saved utilizing stunning technology, while experiencing superior biblical resources, allowing you to focus on studying rather than searching.”

Again, two packages will be awarded. Register now. Email your name, address, church where you serve as pastor, and phone number (cell phone, preferably) to cityviewfirst@gmail.com before Oct. 31. You must be present at the conference to receive this offer. Attend the event, and your name might just be called — if you register now. The Logos collection has a $6,586 value if sold separately.

Chisel this date in stone: Nov. 9, 2015. The Pastors’ Conference will meet at Southside Baptist Church, 316 South Church Street, Spartanburg. This conference always proves to be an invaluable help of incalculable worth in encouragement, inspiration and resources for all who attend.
