Robert Joseph “Bob” Porterfield, 83, died Sept. 22, 2015.

Born in Elberton, Ga., he was pastor of Harmony Baptist Church in Edgemoor, and Second Baptist Church of Rock Hill, as well as churches in Georgia and North Carolina. He served as Baptist campus minister at Winthrop University and was a coordinator for the Baptist Builders of Rock Hill.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty Porterfield, three children, five grandchildren, and two great-granchildren.
