James Terry Hughes, 75, died Sept. 30, 2015.

A native of Clinton, he was a member of First Baptist Church, Simpsonville, and a retired Baptist pastor. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Jane Athalee Young Hughes, four children, and five grandchildren.
