16 from South Carolina earn degrees at Southeastern Seminary

Update: This story was updated Feb. 17, 2017,  to include William Mettauer Crute II of Rock Hill, who earned a master of divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2016. Crute’s name was inadvertently left off a news release provided by the seminary. Crute is student minister at Midway Baptist Church in Gaffney.

Sixteen South Carolinians were among the Dec. 11 graduates from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Matthew Aaron Rogers of Greenville received a doctor of philosophy degree. Michael Roland McCormick of Lexington and Ryan Stephen Goodroe of Seneca earned doctor of ministry degrees.

Jonathan D. Davis of Goose Creek received a master of theology degree. Earning master of divinity degrees were Logan Chase Catoe of Clemson, William Mettauer Crute II of Rock Hill, Michael James McVey of Beech Island, Tucker R. Platt of Greenville, Nathan Andrew James of Anderson, David Richard Edwards of Greenville, Ryan Hartley Hill of North Charleston, and Ruth Elisabeth Gaskins of Conway.

Receiving master of arts degrees in Christian studies were Jason Derek Harter of Georgetown, William Graham Gardner of Camden, Jamie Kristin Strickland of Hanahan, and Tony Dwayne Bowman of Charleston.
