Barker’s Creek Baptist Church in Honea Path met its $51,500 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering goal Feb. 10. “The people didn’t want to close it out until we met our goal,” said pastor Wesley Taylor. “We wanted to raise enough to keep a missionary on the field for a year.” It was the largest missions offering given by Barker’s Creek, which averages about 100 in Sunday school. To help with the effort, students painted scenes of the nativity and held a silent auction.
