Holly Grove Baptist Church in Laurens celebrated the retirement of the debt on the Gary Lewis Family Life Center March 6.

After 14 years of hard work and dedication by the members of Holly Grove, the church is now debt free.

The Redeemers of Faith opened the service with music, followed by pastor Allen Simpson’s message. At the conclusion of the service, everyone in attendance went outside where the mortgage was burned. Each person was given a piece of the mortgage so that all could participate.
